
Crunch Participate in Book Drive

Syracuse, NY (January 31, 2006) - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they will collect books as part of the United Way's Success By 6 Bring on the Books! Book Drive at their Saturday, February 11 game against Rochester.
Fans are encouraged to bring new or gently used books for children up to the age of six to the Crunch's game on Saturday, February 11 as part of the United Way's Success By 6 Bring on the Books! Book Drive. Drop-off boxes will be located at the State Street and Montgomery Street entrances.
Success By 6 distributes the books to over 145 sites working with children throughout Onondaga County. The books are given to many children who may not have books at home or are used in lending libraries in child care, Head Start and Pre-Kindergarten programs as well as before and after school programs and many school classrooms.
The Crunch travel to Cleveland on Friday, February 3 for a 7 p.m. game. Crunch action can be heard with play-by-play announcer Bob McElligott on SportsRadio 620 WHEN or through the Crunch's official website (www.syracusecrunch.com) on B2Networks. On Friday, February 10 Syracuse hosts Binghamton for a 7:30 p.m. match-up. Tickets are available by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444, stopping by the Oncenter box office located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling TicketMaster at (315) 472-0700.
