Albany Devils News Release
ALBANY, NY -- The Albany Devils announced today their 2013-14 promotional schedule, which begins during Saturday's Home Opener against the Utica Comets at 5:05 pm. The first 5,000 fans will receive a free Albany Devils magnetic schedule, courtesy of Albany Clothing and Promotions.
Twenty-nine of the Devils 34 dates at Times Union Center have promotional tie-ins, including a Devils zamboni bank giveaway on Dec. 28. Additionally, player bobbleheads will be given away on Jan. 25 and Feb. 22, provided by Recovery Sports Grill and Yankee Trails, respectively.
"Our promotional calendar is so exciting, not only for our fans, but for our staff," said Devils' CEO Christopher Ciceri. "We get to step back and see the flow of the entire season. Two goals in putting together the schedule are to make a difference in the Capital Region community and to add value for our fans.
"Just because we are announcing the schedule today, doesn't mean we are done striving for those goals. We are still in the final stages of securing larger promotional nights for later in the season."
The Devils and Albany Mayor Gerald D. Jennings will host "The Mayor's Cash for Coats" drive on Oct. 25. The Price Chopper Thanksgiving Food Drive, benefitting the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, will be held on Nov. 1, 9 and 11. Word of Life Night is also slated for Nov. 1 and the annual Teddy Bear Toss is scheduled for Dec. 14.
The Veterans' Day matinee on Nov. 11 features free tickets for all veterans. Additionally, Military Appreciation Night returns on Apr. 12; all active and past military personnel will receive free admission to the game.
Children will receive free admission for the Columbus Day contest on Oct. 14. Kids will also receive a free ticket on Oct. 30 by dressing in a Halloween costume.
Every Friday home game will feature SEFCU College Night; with proper college identification, students can purchase tickets for $10. Also on Fridays, domestic draft beers are $2 between 6 and 7 pm. Post-game autograph sessions will be on Jan. 26, Feb. 23 and Mar. 30 and will coincide with a post-game public skate. Fans will be treated to $1 hot dogs and sodas for Dollar Dawg Nights on Oct. 30, Nov. 11, Dec. 4, Jan. 7 and Mar. 19.
Individual tickets for Devils home games are on sale at the Times Union Center box office or at any Ticketmaster outlet. Fans can also buy tickets via charge-by-phone at 1-800-745-3000 or online at ticketmaster.com.
