AirHogs Rally to Get First Win of the Year

Amarillo- The year got off to a slow start for the AirHogs, but they were able to finally get their first win by beating the Amarillo Sox 6-3 on Thursday. It finally clicked for the AirHogs as they combined for 12 hits. One of those hits was a homerun from Brian Myrow, his first of the year. Brandon Pinckney and Keanon Simon both had two hits each. Angel Flores also had two hits in the game raising his season batting average to .350.

On the mound for the AirHogs is Josh Strawn who receives the win. Strawn gave up only three runs. He also struck out six in the game with six innings of work. Justin Dowdy came in the ninth and got his first save of the year. The win for the AirHogs snaps a six game losing streak.

The Amarillo Sox and AirHogs will play game two Friday night at 7:05 P.M.
