AirHogs Burn by Diablos in 3-2 Win

El Paso- The Grand Prairie AirHogs were able to hold on against the El Paso Diablos for a 3-2 victory at Cohen Stadium Saturday night. The Diablos kept it tight all game but the AirHogs proved victorious. Coming up big when the AirHogs needed him was Brandon Pinckney who went 4-for-5 Saturday night driving in two and scoring once. Ryan Pineda went 2-for-5 scoring once in the game. The other run came from Rian Kiniry in the seventh inning. The Diablos were up 1-0 early in the game. Grand Prairie scored twice in the fifth inning. They then scored once more in the seventh which was enough to win over the Diablos.

Picking up his fourth win of the year was Jared Mortensen who went seven innings allowing one run on eight hits. Mortensen struck out three Diablos over those seven innings. Justin Dowdy pitched the eighth and gave up a run on one hit striking out two. Patrick Mincey picked up the save pitching the ninth inning and allowing no runs on no hits.

With the win Saturday night the AirHogs and Diablos are tied in the series 1-1. The rubber match is set for Sunday night at 6:05 P.M. at Cohen Stadium.
