AHL announces suspension

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. ... The American Hockey League today announced that Binghamton Senators defenseman Jan Platil has been suspended for two (2) regular-season games as a result of his actions during an AHL game vs. the Rochester Americans on Feb. 17.
Platil will miss Binghamton's games tonight (Feb. 18) vs. Philadelphia and Sunday (Feb. 19) vs. Syracuse. He will be eligible to return on Wednesday (Feb. 22) at Philadelphia.
