
Agua Caliente Clippers Acquire Xavier Rathan-Mayes

ONTARIO, Calif. - The Agua Caliente Clippers of Ontario, the NBA G League affiliate of the Los Angeles Clippers, announced today that the team has acquired guard Xavier Rathan-Mayes from the Texas Legends in exchange for the returning player rights to Demarcus Holland and their 3rd round pick in the 2020 NBA G League Draft.
Rathan-Mayes (6-4, 208,) appeared in five games (5 starts) this season for Texas, averaging 18.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists. The Canadian guard spent three years at Florida State University (2014-17), where he was awarded ACC All-Freshman (2014-15), Presason Wooden Award (2015-16), and ACC All-Defense (2016-17). He spent last season with the Texas Legends following a trade from the Westchester Knicks, and averaged 15.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 6.6 assists in 25 games (23 starts).
Holland (6-4, 180) appeared in 26 games (1 start) for Agua Caliente last season, averaging 12.3 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 2.8 assists. The University of Texas product has spent the beginning of the 2019-20 season with BC Nokia in Finland, averaging 10.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 3.1 assists.
The Clippers host the Windy City Bulls on Thursday, December 5 at 7 p.m. PST.
