
Aeros return to television

Akron, OH â The Akron Aeros announced today a seven-game home television schedule that will air on cable systems across Northeastern Ohio. The games will be aired LIVE on Time Warner Cable in Akron and Canton (channel position 23), Massillon Cable in Massillon (channel position 21), Clear Picture in Wayne County (channel position 21) and Adelphia Cable in Tuscarawas County (channel position 99).
"We are very pleased to bring Akron Aeros baseball to our fans through local cable outlets," said Aeros Vice President & General Manager Jeff Auman. "Fans have been asking for years for us to bring back our television schedule. This is a great opportunity to deliver what our fans want."
2005 marks the first time Akron Aeros baseball has been on the air since the 1998 season.
Longtime Aeros radio broadcaster Jim Clark will serve as play-by-play man for the broadcasts alongside color commentator, Joe Dunn. Jim Clark, who is also the Sports Information Director at Walsh University in Canton, has been the Aeros radio voice every season in which the organization has had a radio broadcast, dating back to the club's inception in Canton. Joe Dunn is a local broadcast veteran, currently serving as sideline reporter for the University of Akron football broadcasts, as well as color analyst during Zips' basketball games. Joe has also served as public address announcer at Canal Park for seven seasons.
