Aeros Stat of the Night:
. The Akron Aeros broke a franchise record Saturday night with their 12th win in a row Saturday night 12-5 over Portland. The seven-run margin was also the largest of the 2010 season.

. History in the Making. The Aeros offense exploded Saturday night against the Portland Sea Dogs, scoring eight runs in just the first two innings en route to an impressive 12-5 victory at Canal Park. The win was the 12th straight for the team, breaking the previous franchise record of 11 consecutive wins set in June 2002. Two leadoff walks highlighted both the first and second while Lonnie Chisenhall stayed hot with an RBI double and Matt McBride collected three quick RBI. Chisenhall doubled home a run again in the third to give Akron a 9-0 lead and the Sea Dogs finally responded for three runs on five walks in the fourth against Aeros starter Nick Hagadone. Portland scored two more runs in the seventh to cut the deficit to just four, but a John Drennen triple was the centerpiece of a three-run eighth that cemented the historic victory. Paolo Espino (7-2) earned the win as he followed Hagadone with 3.1 innings pitched and Sea Dogs starter Ryne Miller (2-4) allowed the first nine runs of the game.
. A Mighty Return.Since being activated from the disabled list on May 28th, Chisenhall has been the leader of the Akron offensive attack and has been a catalyst for the 12-game winning streak. He collected another three hits and two doubles Saturday, improving his amazing statistics since his nagging shoulder injury. The 21-year-old Chisenhall has recovered well and now has recorded 19 hits, five home runs, 17 RBI, 15 runs scored, seven walks and an amazing 1.187 OPS in these past 14 games.
. Bethlehem's Finest. The 25-year-old McBride starred early offensively for Akron Saturday and had one of his finest defensive games of the year. With usual first baseman Beau Mills injured, McBride played at first for the fourth straight game and he finished with a single, a double and two runs scored. He is now batting .341 (14-41) in the month of June and the Bethlehem, PA native also made several notable defensive plays to help limit the Portland comeback attempt in the middle innings of the game.
. Carolina Cool.Leadoff center fielder Tim Fedroff tied a franchise record with four walks Saturday and scored after drawing a free pass in each of the first three frames. He was the 13th player to post a four-walk contest in Akron Aeros history and has been solid recently after struggling in May, drawing seven walks and collecting six hits in his last five games played.
. Delightful Dozen.Saturday night's margin of victory was the largest all season for the Aeros and was a rare blowout during this incredible winning streak. Akron out-scored their opponents by an average of just 1.9 runs in the previous 11 wins as six of the games were decided by exactly one run. The team's last loss was two weeks ago on Sunday, May 30th in Binghamton.
. Coming Up Next. The Aeros look for a fourth straight sweep this afternoon at 1:35 p.m. on another Family Pack Sunday at Canal Park. The team then looks to stay hot on the road as they travel to New Hampshire and Portland for three games each.
