CEDAR PARK, Texas --- Jon DiSalvatore scored Houston's lone goal and Patrick O'Sullivan extended his scoring streak to a team season-high nine games with an assist but the Houston Aeros fell 3-1 to the Texas Stars on Saturday night at the Cedar Park Center.

The loss didn't affect Houston's second place standing in the West Division playoff race thanks to a 4-2 Manitoba Moose win over the Milwaukee Admirals. The Aeros are two points behind the first place Admirals. Texas was able to inch two points behind the Aeros with the victory.

Brandon Segal scored the go-ahead tally on the power play at the 6:40 mark of the second after the teams traded goals in the first period. Max Fortunas and Greg Rallo had the other Texas goals while Aaron Gagnon and Philip Larsen each registered two assists.

DiSalvatore bagged his team-leading 18th goal of the season midway through the opening period, a little more than two minutes after Fortunas gave Texas a 1-0 lead.

Aeros goaltender Matt Hackett made 23 saves in the loss.

The Aeros return home on Sunday at 5:05 p.m. against the Abbotsford Heat. Aeros Family Packs are available for as low as $67 for Sunday's game. Call 713-974-7825 (PUCK) for more information on Aeros tickets and other promotions.
