ON FIRE... RHP DAN DENHAM had the hot hand last night, picking up his second win of the year coming out of the bullpen pitching five perfect innings of relief, striking out seven and walking none of the 15 batters he faced, improving his ERA to 2.84...The scorching-hot Aeros have won 10 straight games and 13 of their last 14 and are now 5.0 games in front of second place Altoona (37-27).
IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING...The longest winning streak in franchise history was achieved by the Aeros 2002 club winning 11 straight games (6/4-6/14).
HIGH HONORS...Last Tuesday, Aeros 3B KEVIN KOUZMANOFF was named Eastern League Player of the Month for the month of May...In May, Kouzmanoff hit .440 (37-84) with 8 2B, 6 HR, 26 RBI, 20 R, 1 SB and a slugging % of .750 in 23 games...Kevin currently leads ALL of minor league baseball with a .427 batting average... The Eastern League record for highest season batting average is .400, done by JOE MUNSON of the Harrisburg Senators in 1925

ROSTER MOVES...The Aeros received LHP MARIANO GOMEZ from Class A Kinston on monday...Gomez was 0-1 with an 3.95 ERA, (13.2 IP, 13 H, 7 R, 6 ER, 3 BB, 11 SO) while with the K-Tribe...C ARMANDO CAMACARO was sent to Class A Kinston on Saturday...He had been on the Aeros Disabled List since May 24 with a strained right calf.
LEAGUE LEADERS: 3B KEVIN KOUZMANOFF leads the Eastern League in batting average (.427), hits (76), on-base % (.483) and slugging % (.680) and is tied for fifth in home runs (9)...OF JON VAN EVERY is tied for second in triples (5), is fifth in slugging % (.505) & is tied for fifth in extra-base hits (28)...2B EIDER TORRES is third in SB (24)...RHP SEAN SMITH is tied for the league lead in wins (7) and is fourth in ERA (1.80)...OF BRAD SNYDER is tied for third in runs scored (36)...LHP JUAN LARA leads the league in games pitched (27)
