Hamilton, Ontario - The Milwaukee Admirals defeated the Hamilton Bulldogs 2-0 on Sunday afternoon at Copps Coliseum. Magnus Hellberg stopped 25 shots for the shutout and Juuso Puustinen scored the game-winner for the Admirals.
After a scoreless first period, the Bulldogs held the edge in shots by a count of 11-7.
The Admirals opened the scoring at 12:41 of the second frame on a goal by Puustinen. Kevin Henderson chipped the puck towards the net from the top of the right circle and the shot was blocked in front. Puustinen picked up the rebound at the bottom of the right circle and roofed it by Hamilton Bulldogs starting goaltender Dustin Tokarski. After 40 minutes of play, the 'Dogs still held the edge in shots 18-16.
Chris Mueller added an empty netter for Milwaukee at 19:51 of the third stanza to seal the deal for the Admirals. The Bulldogs outshot the Admirals 25-22 to finish the game.
The Bulldogs' next game is against the St. John's IceCaps at Copps Coliseum on Tuesday, February 26th at 7:30 p.m. All 'Dogs games will be broadcast on Hamilton's Funny 820 (AM 820).
