January 26, 2010 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI-After spending most of the last four weeks living out of a suitcase, the Admirals embark on a season-long five-game homestand beginning Thursday, January 28 when the team hosts the Hamilton Bulldogs at 7:00 pm at the Bradley Center. The Ads will follow that up by hosting the Houston Aeros on Friday at 7:00 pm and, after a day off on Saturday, Milwaukee and Hamilton will square-off again on Sunday afternoon at 4:00 pm.
Thursday's game is the Admirals first-ever Tattoo Salute Night, where any person with a tattoo gets $4 off of their ticket. However, there is a limit of one discounted ticket per person regardless of the amount of body art that they may possess and people may be asked to show proof of their tattoo at the box office window.
On Friday night the Admirals will have their annual FM106/Miller Lite Country Music Night that features a live post game concert with national recording artist Blake Shelton. The concert is free with a ticket to the game and the first 5,000 fans through the gates will take home an Admirals Flag, courtesy of Patrick Cudahy.
Overall, Shelton has had five number one songs including his most recent chart topper "She Wouldn't Be Gone" as well as, "Austin", "The Baby", "Some Beach", a cover of Michael Buble's "Home." He has recorded five solo albums since 2001, the most recent being Startin' Fires, which was released in Nov. 2008 and peaked at number seven on the US Country charts. He is currently working on his sixth album which is scheduled to be released in 2010.
There are still a limited amount of on-ice passes available for the Blake Shelton concert. The on-ice passes are $20 and allow fans to watch the concert from directly in front of the stage on a carpeted area of the ice. However, a regular game ticket must be purchased to gain access to the game and concert.
Sunday afternoon the Admirals will welcome former Admiral Buzz Schneider and Madison native Bob Suter to the game. Both Schneider and Suter were members of the famed "Miracle on Ice" team that slayed the Russians in the 1980 Winter Olympics and went on to win the gold medal. The two will sign autographs and greet fans on the 200-level concourse from 3:00 pm until 4:00 pm.
The first 1,500 fans 14 and under at Sunday's contest will take home a zamboni bank, courtesy of US Bank. Plus, Sunday is a Private Bank Family Day where fans can get 4 tickets, 4 sodas, and 4 hot dogs for just $40 and then take a lap around the Bradley Center Ice after the game in the Private Bank Family Skate. Private Bank Family Packages must be purchased 24 hours in advance, and to accommodate demand the Admirals office will be open on Saturday, January 30 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.
Fans can order tickets by calling Ticketmaster at (800) 745-3000 or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Groups of ten or more people receive a minimum of $2 off of each 200-level ticket. For more information or to order group tickets call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
