Admirals Hit The Ice For Three-In-Three
March 28, 2008 - American Hockey League (AHL)
Milwaukee Admirals News Release
Milwaukee, WI-Embattled in the tightest playoff race in the American Hockey League, the Milwaukee Admirals take to the ice for three games this weekend beginning with a 6:00 pm CT game versus the Grand Rapids Griffins tonight. After traveling to Quad City on Saturday night to battle the Flames, the Ads return to the Bradley Center for a 4:00 pm fray with the Houston Aeros on Sunday afternoon.
All 400-level seats for Sunday's game are just $3 and $2 from each of those tickets would then be donated to the MACC Fund (Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer). In addition, $2 from all regularly priced lower bowl tickets will be also be donated to the MACC Fund. The first 5,000 fans through the gates will take home an Admirals/Brewers Baseball hat, courtesy of the Milwaukee Brewers and local band Speakeasy will perform in the east atrium before and after the game.
The Admirals office, located at 510 W. Kilbourn Ave, will be open from 10:00 am until 3:00 pm on Saturday for fans to buy tickets for Sunday's, or any of the team's remaining four games.
The Admirals currently sit in fifth-place in the West Division with 81 points, just two points behind fourth-place Houston and three points back of San Antonio for third. However, the Peoria Rivermen are nipping at Milwaukee's heels with 79 points and Quad City is still in the picture in seventh place with 75 points. The top four teams in the West will qualify for the post-season and so will the fifth place team if they have accumulated more points than the fourth place squad in the North Division, which appears likely to happen since Hamilton is in fourth in the North with 70 points.
Thus, if the season were to end today, the Admirals would be in the playoffs by way of having more points (81) than fourth-place Hamilton. As the cross-over team, the Admirals would move to the North for the post-season and play the Toronto Marlies, currently in first in the North, in a best-of-seven, first round series.
For tickets on March 30th, or any Admirals game, fans can call Ticketmaster at (414) 276-4545 or log on to www.ticketmaster.com. Groups of ten or more people can call the Admirals office at (414) 227-0550.
