
Admirals Cup Gets Underway December 26

Milwaukee, WI - Milwaukee Admirals Governor/CEO Harris Turer announced today that the team will host the ninth annual Admirals Cup presented by Bradley Corporation from December 26th through December 30th. For the sixth straight year the Admirals Cup will be an eight-team tournament and the games will take place at the Mullett Center on the campus of Hartland Arrowhead High School and at the BMO Harris Bradley Center. The Admirals Cup is held in conjunction with a pair of 7:00 pm Admirals games on December 26th and 30th.
The Admirals Cup will feature a new round-robin style format this year as opposed to the traditional bracket style that it has been in the past. Each team will play three games, including one at the BMOHBC, with a chance to earn three points for each win. The team with the most points at the end of the tournament will be declared the champion. If there's a tie at the end, the winner will be the team with the fewest penalty minutes.
New Trier High School out of Winnetka, IL is the lone first- time participant in the Admirals Cup and will join defending champion Mequon Homestead, Hartland Arrowhead, Cedarburg, De Pere, Germantown, Marquette University High School, and Whitefish Bay-Nicolet-Shorewood (WNS).
The Admirals Cup will begin on Friday, December 26th at the BMO Harris Bradley Center with De Pere taking on WNS at noon followed by Marquette High battling New Trier at 2:30. The following day, December 27th, Germantown will play Cedarburg at 10:00 am with Homestead and Arrowhead to follow them at 12:30 pm, also at the BMOHBC.
All games in round two and three of the Admirals Cup will take place at the Mullett Center (700 North Avenue, Hartland, WI) on December 29th and 30th, respectively. Game times each day at are 9:00 am, 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm.
All of the games for the Admirals Cup are free to attend. For BMO Harris Bradley Center games, fans should enter the building through the Potawatomi Gate, with doors opening at 11:30 am on the 26th and 9:30 am on the 27th.
