Minnesota Recalls Sutter to NHL

DES MOINES, IA - Minnesota Wild General Manager Chuck Fletcher on Monday announced the National Hockey League (NHL) club has recalled forward Brett Sutter from the Iowa Wild of the American Hockey League (AHL). The team also placed defenseman Keith Ballard (upper body) and forward Ryan Carter (upper body) on Injured Reserve.

Sutter, 27 (6/2/87), has collected 14 points (5-914) in 26 games with Iowa this season. He ranks fourth on the team in scoring. The 6-foot, 200-pound native of Viking, Alta., has tallied seven points (2-57) and 36 penalty minutes (PIM) in 54 career NHL games with the Calgary Flames and Carolina Hurricanes. Sutter recorded two points (1-12) in 17 games with Carolina and 44 points (15-2944) in 62 games with the Charlotte Checkers (AHL) during the 2013-14 campaign. He ranked fourth on the Checkers in scoring and served as team captain. Sutter was originally selected by Calgary in the sixth round (179th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.

The Wild concludes a four-game home stand, hosting Rockford at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 16. The team celebrates Taco Tuesdays, presented by Taco Johns. Each fan that comes to the game will be handed a coupon for a complimentary crispy beef taco from Taco Johns. In addition, Taco Johns will select one lucky fan to receive a six-pack of tacos and a pound of potato oles. It's also a two-for-one Tuesday, presented by Hits 99.9 FM, where fans may purchase one attack end ticket and get one free. The Wild are also hosting a "Toys for Tots" toy drive. Any fan that donates a toy will receive a ticket to a future Wild home game. Also, fans that bring a Subway receipt may purchase a ticket for $5.00 at the Wells Fargo Arena box office.

The Iowa Wild 2014-15 season is presented by Mercy Medical Center, it runs from October through April. Fans may purchase seats to see any of the team's 38 regular season home games at Wells Fargo Arena. Season tickets to see the Wild play at Wells Fargo Arena start at just $9 per game.
