Penguins Recall Seymour from Wheeling

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. - The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins today announced that defenseman Clark Seymour has been recalled from loan to the Wheeling Nailers (ECHL).

Currently in his first season of professional hockey, Seymour has recorded one goal, five assists and 15 penalty minutes over 18 games with the Nailers. Seymour made his Wilkes-Barre/Scranton and American Hockey League debut on Dec. 6, collecting an assist for the Penguins.

A 21-year old native of Brockville, Ontario, Seymour played five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League (2009-14) between Peterborough and the Kingston Frontenacs, collecting 57 points (14G-43A) and 272 PIM over 288 contests. He was originally a fifth-round pick (143rd overall) of the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2012 NHL Draft.

The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins are back in action on Friday, Dec. 19 when they face the Albany Devils at Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza at 7:05 p.m.
