RENO, Nev.-Adding to its involvement in the community, the Reno Aces Baseball Club, Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, has introduced a brand-new reading program aimed at local children, the organization announced today.

Open to children in preschool through middle school, the Aces Reading Program is an incentive-based initiative intended to encourage Northern Nevada and Sierra Nevada region students to expand their frame of reference and enhance their knowledge of sports by engaging in reading.

Students are asked to read three books throughout the summer, and write a short essay after completing each book. Once the student completes the three-book requirement, he or she will be awarded with a ticket to a Reno Aces game and recognition on the Aces Ballpark video board.

Additional details, rules and registration forms for the Reno Aces are available at www.RenoAces.com or by calling the Aces front office at (775) 334-4700.

The Aces return home Saturday, April 24 for a four-game series against the Colorado Springs Sky Sox. Tickets for all Aces games start at just $7, and are available by calling the Reno Aces box office at (775) 334-7000 or by visiting www.RenoAces.com.
