ANCHORAGE, Alaska - Greg Wolfe earned three points (2g-1a) and the Alaska Aces used three goals in the first period, cruising to a 6-1 blowout win over the Bakersfield Condors on Wednesday at Sullivan Arena.

The Aces, recording their largest margin of victory this season, snapped a four-game losing streak and extended their home winning streak to six straight games. Th ey extended their lead as big as 5-0 while ten different players recorded points for Alaska. Ty Rimmer dropped his first loss to the Aces with 22 saves.

Following the opening faceoff, the Aces hemmed Bakersfield in the offensive zone for the first minute of play and capitalized on Brad Cole's second goal of the season, finishing Raphael Bussieres' feed in the slot just 69 s econds in for a 1-0 lead.

Brendan Connolly then struck a feed from behind the net off defenseman Brendan Nash for a 2-0 lead at 7:35, and Jacob Doty followed up with his first career professional goal with 4:42 left on a feed at the left post for a 3-0 bulge.

Bakersfield responded by outshooting the Aces, 9-6 in the middle period and generated several good looks at the net with speed, but Lundstrom turned every shot away including a point-blank save with his right pad on Josh Currie.

With Bakersfield threatening to close the deficit to two goals late in the period, the Aces decimated Bakersfield's chances on Chris Francis' shorthanded goal for a 4-0 lead with 1:19 left. Connolly outmuscled Ben Lindenmuler at the left circle and threaded a pass to Francis, wide open at the crease.

Wolfe beat Rimmer from the right circle and under the crossbar for a 5-0 lead at 7:55 of the third period, answered by Nick Pageau's first goal of the season on the next shift to spoil Lundstrom's shutout bid. But Wolfe put the game away on his second goal of the night, a loose puck underneath Rimmer, with 5:06 left in regulation.

The Aces earned their second win of the season against Bakersfield, improving to 55-31-5 in the ECHL all-time series.
