RENO, Nev. - The Reno Aces drop their third-straight game to the Las Vegas Aviators, 16-5, on Sunday afternoon.

Drew Ellis became the first Aces player this season to reach a double-digit home run total, smacking his 10th home run of the season with a solo shot in the seventh. The Aces' third baseman also roped his 19th double of the season, sitting just two behind his fellow cornerman Seth Beer at 21.

Henry Ramos recorded his second multi-hit game in as many days while also snapping a four-game RBI skid with his one-run single in the third.

The Aviators jumped out to an early 4-0 lead following the opening frame on an RBI single by Cody Thomas and a Francisco Pena three-run homer.

After a blank second inning, Las Vegas tacked on one more in the top of the third on a sacrifice fly by Cody Thomas to take a 5-0 edge.

Ellis lined a one-out double off the left-field wall in the home half of the third before being brought around on an RBI single by Henry Ramos to slash the deficit to four, 5-1.

Las Vegas extended its advantage to three, 8-1, in the top of the fourth inning on a pair of home runs, a solo shot by Marty Bechina and a two-run homer from Greg Deichmann.

Following a scoreless fifth inning, the Aviators scored three more runs, 11-1 in the sixth before the Aces put a run on the board in the home half to halt Las Vegas' streak of eight-straight runs scored. After Michael De La Cruz and Jose Herrera smacked a pair of singles, Camden Duzenack lined a base knock up the middle to bring the Aces' catcher around to score, 11-2.

Reno crept back into the game with a two-run seventh to cut the deficit to single digits, 11-4. Ellis took Adam Kolarek deep for a solo shot before a Christian Lopes RBI single drove in the Aces' second tally of the frame.

Las Vegas added three more tallies to its total in the top of the eighth before the Aces tacked on one run on Seth Beer's solo homer in the bottom of the ninth to close the game, 16-5.

Reno returns to action on Monday against the Aviators, with the first pitch slated for 6:35 p.m. PT. Monday's contest can be heard on renoaces.com or locally on KPLY 630 AM with Zack Bayrouty on the call.
