Aces lose close one to North Shore
July 27, 2004 - Canadian American League (Can-Am)
Aces News Release
In a game dramatically different from yesterday's 16-5 trouncing, the outcome remained the same â North Shore walked away as winners over the Aces, this time by just a 1-0 margin.
Bryan Morse had the good stuff tonight, pitching eight and a third innings, yielding just five hits and striking out seven while holding the Aces scoreless. Ryan Bicandoa picked up where Morse left off, pitching the final two outs for his fifteenth save, a Northeast League best.
The Spirit got their lone run in the sixth, off of a sacrifice groundout by Frank Charles, driving in Nilson Teilon.
