
Cutters Kevin Forbes Wins Batter Of The Week Award

West Haven, CT- The Northeast League named New Haven County Cutters outfielder Kevin Forbes the leagueÂfs Batter of the Week award winner for the week of July 19-25.
Forbes, the second offensive Cutters player to be recognized with a weekly Northeast League award, went 9-for-17 good for a .529 batting average. Four of his nine hits were doubles, he had a .765 slugging percentage.
Forbes leads the team in triples with three. He has seen time in the outfield and as a designated hitter in this his second season in the Northeast League.
Tony Harden and Jimmy Hurst were the other Cutters players to be honored with a weekly league award this season.
The Cutters will return home to open up a seven-game home stand on July 29th with a four-game series against the Quebec Capitales. Thursdays at Yale Field are Thirsty Thursday's with $1 Budweiser and Bud Light draft beers. After every Friday night home game this summer, a fireworks show will light up the New Haven sky.
