Hudson Valley Renegades News Release

The Hudson Valley Renegades played in front of their home fans for the first time since Sep, 2019 but the Aberdeen IronBirds knocked off the Gades, 4-0.

Ken Waldichuk was the star for the Gades, striking out 10 in three-and-a-third innings of work. On the other side, Aberdeen's pitching kept the Gades bats quiet, allowing just two hits as four hurlers combined for the shutout. Starter Garrett Sweeney went five innings to earn the win, allowing no hits. Barrett Loeske took the loss for the Gades, as Aberdeen struck for three in the sixth inning on a walk, three consecutive singles, and a sacrifice fly.

Mickey Gasper and Brandon Lockridge had the lone hits for the Gades.

The teams return to Dutchess Stadium on Wednesday night at 7:05. Hayden Wesneski gets the ball for the Renegades, opposed by Kyle Brnovitch. Check hvrenegades.com for tickets and other information.
