Trenton scored the game's final seven runs, taking game one of a four-game series from the Sea Dogs, 7-6 at Hadlock Field.
Portland led 6-0 after five innings, knocking Matt DeSalvo out of the game in the fourth inning. Trenton scored three times in the sixth, twice in the seventh and single runs in the final two innings.
Justin Christian scored the winning run after stealing third base and beating the throw at the plate after a passed ball. Randy Beam (2-3) suffered the loss, allowing an unearned run on one hit.
Brent Cox (4-2) worked 1.1 IP on one hit to earn the victory for Trenton. Justin Pope pitched a scoreless ninth to notch his 17th save of the season.
Portland sent nine men to the plate in the fourth inning, scoring five times on six hits. Dusty Brown gave Portland a 1-0 lead on a sacrifice fly. David Bacani added a two-out, two-run single off DeSalvo. Tyler Minges and Brandon Moss added two-out RBI's.
Sea Dogs starter Luis Mendoza allowed five runs on seven hits in 6+ innings. Mike Bumatay surrendered one unearned run in two innings.
Trenton cut the lead in half in the sixth inning on Eric Duncan's two-out, three-run homer. Trenton added two runs in the seventh inning on a fielder's choice and a wild pitch. J.T Stotts tied the game at six on an infield RBI single off the shortstop's glove.
