"Seahawks Live" will kick off with a Gatorade Jr. Training Camp, open to youth ages 8-15, Saturday morning at 8 a.m. Participants will have the chance to work hands on with Seahawks alumni and local high school coaches to learn football fundamentals, techniques and skills. Participants must register and may do so by logging onto www.seahawks.com/community Touchdown City, which will be located on Morrison Street adjacent to PGE Park, will be open to the entire family Saturday morning at 9 a.m. and does not require a ticket. Here, fans will have the chance to test their football skills with interactive inflatable games, get autographs from former NFL players from the surrounding area, meet Blitz, and enjoy several Sea Gals performances among other exciting activities. The highlight of the day will be an hour-and-a-half practice and scrimmage by the Seahawks beginning at 12 noon. The team will arrive Saturday morning from their training camp home at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, Wash., where they will be preparing to make another run into the playoffs after a successful 10-6 record in 2003. Following the scrimmage, youth ages 8-15 will be invited onto the field to participate in various agility and skill stations. "Seahawks Live" will also feature a live concert in the Plaza before the scrimmage by one of Portland's hottest bands. Gates open for the Gatorade Jr. Training Camp at 8 a.m. and general admission for the scrimmage at 9 a.m. Seahawks kicker Josh Brown will be tossing the first pitch at the Portland Beavers versus Sacramento River Cats game at PGE Park Thursday night, June 24, slated for 7:05 p.m. He will be available to all media before and during the game.
