MEMPHIS, TN - Memphis topped Oklahoma City 5-1 Saturday night at AutoZone Park in front of 10,606 fans.

The Redbirds grabbed the lead in the fourth inning and never trailed again. Nick Stavinoha tied the game with a solo home run and gave the ‘Birds a one-run advantage with another homer in his second at bat. A throwing error by catcher Humberto Quintero sent Memphis' third run home in the fourth while the last two runs came in the seventh from an RBI-single by Tyler Greene and a sacrifice fly by Pete Kozma.

Robinson Cancel drove in the Hawks' only run on the night with a ground out to third base to plate Collin DeLome in the first.

P.J. Walters allowed one run on six hits across 6.1 innings of work while walking four and fanning five for his seventh win of the season. Oklahoma City starter Brad Hennessey took the loss giving up three runs on five hits while striking out one over 3.1 innings.

The ‘Birds will bring the brooms tomorrow night in search of their second sweep against the RedHawks. Memphis sends Brian Broderick to the mound to face Oklahoma City southpaw Wesley Wright. First pitch is slated for 6:05 p.m. with a Naturalization Ceremony taking place pre-game and Red, White and BOOM! fireworks post-game.
