
8th Annual Ballpark Festival of Beers Slated for September 25

Since the beginning of 2010, the Charleston RiverDogs have been asking its many followers, "What kind of fan are you?"
Now the club's "Be Your Own Fan" mantra has taken a road to the suds.
Cervesa. Coirm. Pito. Sor. Zitos. No matter how you say it, "beer" is a word that is clearly understood around the world.
The Lowcountry will have chance to taste some of the finest beers on earth at the 8th Annual Ballpark Festival of Beers, presented by Birney's Foods "The BBQ Guys" that will be held on Saturday, September 25 at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Park.
More than 100 different varieties of beer will be available to quench the taste buds of every die-hard beer enthusiast. From 7-10 pm, patrons will receive sampling tickets, each good for a 5-ounce taste of their favorite beer and the first 1,000 people will receive a commemorative sampling glass.
Birney's Foods and the RiverDogs will have delicious food available that goes well with the multiple brews.
"The Ballpark Festival of Beers continues to grow, and in our eighth year we are excited more than ever about offering more selections from around the globe," said RiverDogs Special Events Director Melissa McCants.
The Ballpark Festival of Beers is a 21-and-over event. Pets, Kids, babies in strollers and anyone under the age of 21 will not be allowed into the facility. Advanced tickets are $25 at the RiverDogs Box Office or on-line at www.riverdogs.com. Tickets are $30 event day.
