West Valley City, Utah - The Utah Grizzlies (24-16-3-1) scored three-straight goals to cap off a dramatic 3-2 overtime win over Ontario before a season-high of 8,530 fans Friday night at Maverik Center.

"Engelage did an outstanding job in the second (18 saves) and everyone was pulling the rope the same way," said Grizzlies Head Coach Kevin Colley. "I'm proud of the guys to battle back and tie it up late in the third and then go out to win it. It was an outstanding crowd."

Utah spent eight of the 20 minutes in the second period killing penalties, including 4:50 in which they were down five-on-three and six-straight minutes shorthanded from 3:22-9:22. The penalty-kill though stood tall and Utah allowed just one five-on-three goal and trailed 1-0 by the time the penalty box had emptied. During the process, Utah captain Jake Gannon (10-minute misconduct, game misconduct) and assistant captain Simon Ferguson (10-minute misconduct) were both sent away for voicing their displeasure with the officiating that awarded Ontario seven-straight power-plays at one point and three five-on-three shorthanded situations in the six minute span of the second period.

Down 2-0, Utah started their rally with Marcus Carroll (11) redirecting home a Tom May setup that was sent up-ice by Brock Wilson to get Utah on the board.

The game stayed 2-1 until 3:57 left in regulation when Matt Clarke blasted his fifth goal of the year from inside the blueline and the game went to overtime.

In overtime, Utah came out hard from the opening face-off and drew a minor penalty eight seconds in. Utah scored just one second after the minor expired with Hugo Carpentier sending home a shot from the far circle for his seventh goal of the year. May and Clarke picked up assists to cap off multiple-point nights. Brock Wilson also had two assists in the contest.

Andrew Engelage, returning from a minor injury that caused him to miss last weekend's action, stopped 37 of 39 shots to earn the win as he improved to 14-7-2-1.

Utah hosts Ontario again Saturday for Guns N Hoses Night with local police and firefighters playing a charity game at 3 p.m. followed by the Grizzlies at 7 p.m.
