ABOUT TONIGHT'S MATCHUP:
Season Series: Nailers lead 7-1
The Nailers return to WesBanco arena tonight, after defeating the Elmira Jackals 2-0 on Friday. Ben Street returned to the lineup scoring two goals, while goaltender Peter Delmas made 28 saves to earn his first career shutout. Forward Nick Petersen logged an assist in the game, extending his point scoring streak to 10 games.
Street and Petersen enter tonight's game with 22 goals each, which puts them both in the league's top five in goals scored. Petersen is the league's second leading scorer with 51 points, just one point behind Florida's Francis Lemieux.
The Devils started the weekend with an impressive 5-1 victory at Toledo Friday night. Ryan Hayes scored twice for Trenton, and Jeff Lerg was solid in net stopping 38 of 39 shots.
Recent Transactions
Forward Ryan Schnell returned to the lineup Friday, after being returned by the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the American Hockey League. Defenseman Kyle Bushee has been loaned to Portland of the AHL.
