CORPUS CHRISTI, TX - For the sixth year in the row, the IceRays will team up with Whataburger and First Title to bring the annual Stars & Stripes Night back to the American Bank Center on Friday November 8th at 7:05PM as the Amarillo Bulls come to town.
"The Stars and Stripes Night has become one of the best attended games over the course of the last six years," said IceRays general manager Pat Dunn. "It's nice to be able to give back to the Military personnel, Police Officers and Firefighters for all that they do to keep us safe. We couldn't do this without the generosity of Whataburger and First Title"
This popular event draws thousands of hockey fans to the American Bank Center each year to honor those who risk their lives to help others such as Firefighters, Police, Military, and First Responders. The doors open at 6:05PM and fans will have the chance to win great prizes during both intermissions, along with giveaways throughout the night!
"Stars and Stripes Night is a great opportunity for Corpus Christi families to join us in honoring our community's local heroes," said Whataburger Director of Operations Esmer Cavazos. "We're so grateful to Corpus Christi first responders and military for their service to our community and want to thank the IceRays for allowing us to be part of such a special night."
Over six decades ago, Whataburger opened its' first stand located on Ayers Street right here in Corpus Christi, Texas. Since then, Whataburger has made it their mission to give back to not only the community, but armed forces as well. When soldiers ran out of ketchup, Whataburger donated 800 tubes, and 24 bottles of Fancy & Spicy Ketchup to marines located in Afghanistan.
In addition, First Title will proudly sponsor Stars & Stripes Night as well.
"As the creator and initial sponsor of this outstanding event, it is an honor to continue to be associated with this magnificent salute to our first responders and their families," said Brent Chesney. "First Title Company is proud to support our men and women in uniform and their families."
First Title believes that success requires the ability to look into the future and see things not how they are, but how they can be. With the combination of innovative technology and skilled professionals, they can provide precision and exceptional service through every aspect of the closing process.
Fans are encouraged to stay following the matchup for the postgame jersey auction! The specialty jerseys will be auctioned off with proceeds going to the USO of South Texas!
