67's Let Fish off the Hook; Drop Another to Steelheads
October 21, 2015 - Ontario Hockey League (OHL)
Ottawa 67's News Release
Rookie Alexander Nylander scored twice as the Mississauga Steelheads downed the Ottawa 67's for the second time this season in a 5-2 decision Wednesday night at TD Place.
The son of former NHL centre Michael Nylander now has eight goals this season and leads all first-year players in the OHL with 16 points.
The teams were tied with two goals apiece heading into the final frame, but the Steelheads pulled away with three unanswered tallies in the third.
Damian Bourne put Mississauga scored the go-ahead marker past Leo Lazarev at 6:27, followed by a shorthanded goal from Michael McLeod and Nylander's second of the match.
Jeremiah Addison scored for Ottawa and Drake Rymsha potted his first of the season and his first as a member of the 67's after being acquired in a trade from London earlier this month.
Lazarev made 22 saves and took the loss, ending a personal four-game winning streak.
Jack Flinn made 27 saves for his second victory over Ottawa this season.
The 67's host the Oshawa Generals on Friday, October 23 (7 p.m. face-off) at the Arena at TD Place and Sunday, October 25 against the Peterborough Petes (3 p.m.).
Tickets are available at the 67's website, or by calling 613-232-6767, ext. 1.
