67's Dominate 1st Period but fall 4-2 to Kingston

The 67's strong 1st period wasn't enough as they fell 4-2 this afternoon to their division rival Kingston Frontenacs.

The 67's were all offence in the 1st period, dominating play, even holding the Frontenacs shot less for the first 4 minutes of the opening period. The 67's got on the board early with a powerplay goal by Dante Salituro, which was his 21st of the season and put him in the top 6 in scoring in the OHL. The 67s struck again on the powerplay with Jeremiah Addison getting his 13th of the season midway through the 1st period. At the end of 20 minutes the 67's continued their dominating play, out-shooting the Frontenacs 19-5.

The 2nd period saw the Frontenacs push back and score shorthanded with a goal by Cody Caron early in the period. In the last minute of play, the Frontenacs got on the board with a power play goal by Stephen Desrocher to tie the game 2-2 through 40 minutes of play.

The 3rd period saw the Frontenacs score 2 goals and took the lead 4-2 midway through the period. The 67's pushed back and got the extra attacker out during the last 5 minutes of play, but were unable to capitalize.

The 67's are back in action on December 29 as they visit the Kingston Frontenacs for a 7 p.m. puck drop at the K-Rock Centre.
