SAGINAW, MI. - The Saginaw Spirit (14-16-2-1, 5th West Division) are back in action at The Dow Event Center Saturday night, as they play host to the Windsor Spitfires (19-9-5-0, 1st West Division) for Star Wars Night. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m.
Saturday night's contest marks the fifth of eight meetings this season and the second of a home and home set between the Spirit and the Spits this week. The Spitfires lead the season series three games to one.
On Thursday night at the WFCU Centre, seven goals scored in the third period found Windsor and Saginaw tied 6-6 after 60 minutes of play. But a costly overtime penalty on Saginaw gave the Windsor Spitfires a 7-6 victory over the Saginaw Spirit. Saginaw's Artem Artemov and Tye Felhaber recorded multi-point efforts in the defeat.
