20th Annual Hockey Challenge Takes Place Saturday

The Seattle Thunderbirds and Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Western Washington & Alaska (RMHC) are pleased to announce the schedule of games and activities at Hockey Challenge 2018 on Saturday, February 24, at accesso ShoWare Center in Kent.

The T-Birds play the Everett Silvertips at 6:05 pm on Saturday, February 24, in a game that will be followed by the local Celebrity and T-Birds Alumni All-Star Game.

The All-Star game will feature Team Slickhawk vs. Team Akita. Team Slickhawk will be coached by Matt "Slickhawk" Mikolas from the Morning Show on Sportsradio 950 KJR. Team Akita be coached by Seattle sports Twitter personality Alex Akita and Ashley Ryan from WARM 106.9 FM.

At Hockey Challenge 2018 the T-Birds will welcome back Bretton Chitwood, the Hockey Challenge 2017 Kid Captain, as he will lace up the skates and play in the Celebrity and T-Birds Alumni All-Star Game. Gabe Cohen from KOMO 4 TV recently profiled Bretton's return to skating. 

Former Seattle Totems greats Guyle Fielder and Tom McVie will be in attendance at the Hockey Challenge. Guyle will be holding an autograph signing for a new book about his hockey career in Seattle called "I Just Wanted To Play Hockey".

Fans can purchase a book at the Challenge for Guyle to autograph. Books will cost $30 cash or $35 using a credit or debit card. Credit and debit purchases must be made in the Hockey Store at accesso ShoWare Center where the purchaser will receive a voucher to redeem for a book at the autograph table.
