New Britain, CT---LHP Mark Rzepczynski picked up his Eastern League-leading fifth win as the New Hampshire Fisher Cats opened a four-game series in New Britain Monday night with an 8-3 win over the Rock Cats.

Rzepczynski (5-1) took a no-hitter to the sixth inning before allowing a single to Whit Robbins. He worked 7.2 IP, allowing five hits, two runs (one earned), walking one and striking out six. It was the fourth time he has beaten New Britain this season in four starts.

The Fisher Cats (15-9) jumped on New Britain starter Ryan Mullins for four runs in the top of third inning. Brad Emaus (4-for-6, HR, 2 RBI) led off the inning with a solo homer, his second of the season. David Cooper (4-for-5, 2B, RBI) doubled and scored on a single by Nick Gorneault (2-for-5) to make it 2-0. Cody Haerther (3-for-5, 2R) followed with a single but was erased on Al Quintana's fielders choice. Gorneault scored and Quintana moved up on a wild pitch before a double by Adam Calderone (2-for-4, RBI) made it 4-0.

New Hampshire added a run in the top of the fourth inning. Singles by Sanchez and Emaus started the inning and Cooper's third hit of the game, a single to right field, scored Sanchez to make it 5-0.

In the top of the seventh inning, Haerther singled, moved to second on a wild pitch and scored on a single by Jonathan Diaz to make it 6-0.

New Britain (10-13) scored an unearned run on a sacrifice fly by Matt Moses in the bottom of the seventh inning. They cut the lead to 6-2 in the bottom of the eighth on an RBI single by Wilson Ramos.

The Fisher Cats added two more runs in the ninth off reliever Yohan Pino. Singles by Haerther and Calderone and a walk to Diaz loaded the bases. Sanchez hit a sacrifice fly to score Haerther before Emaus' fourth hit of the night, a single, scored Calderone to make it 8-2.

Matt Moses singled home Brandon Roberts in the bottom of the ninth inning off David Shinskie for the final Rock Cats run.

Earlier today, the Eastern League announced that Fisher Cats 1B/DH Brian Dopirak was named the Eastern League Player of the Week for the week ending May 3rd. The 25-year old had an outstanding week for the Fisher Cats, hitting .400 (10-for-25) with two doubles, three home runs, eight RBI, four runs scored, three walks and a .840 slugging percentage in six games during the week.

The roadtrip continues Tuesday night at 6:35pm in New Britain. RHP Rei Gonzalez (1-0, 1.39) goes for New Hampshire against New Britain RHP Cole Devries (1-1, 3.54).
