11-Run Inning Ties Record

The Calgary Vipers scored 11 runs in one inning for a second time in franchise history to defeat the Chico Outlaws 14-8 at Nettleton Stadium in Chico, California. Already leading 2-0 the Vipers sent 15 players to the plate for eight hits, three walks, and the 11 tallies. The inning was highlighted by a three-run homer and a two-run double from Luis Taveras for five runs batted in. With the victory the Snakes are now 25-14 in the second half and three and a half games ahead of both Chico and the Victoria Seals for first place in the North Division with six games remaining. Calgary's magic number to clinch a playoff spot is down to three while their overall record in the Golden Baseball League is 48-34.

Mac Suzuki (2-2) recorded the win while also collecting a single and run batted in.

This three game series in Chico against the Outlaws continues on Wednesday September 1st and Thursday September 2nd both at 8:05 PM MDT.

Calgary plays the Tijuana Big Horn Sheep in Yuma, Arizona on Friday September 3rd at 8:00 PM MDT, a double-header on Saturday September 4th at 6:30 PM MDT, and Sunday September 5th at 7:00 PM MDT.
