11 a.m. Start for the Business Persons Special/Toros School House Jam Day Game

AUSTIN, Texas, January 22 - The Austin Toros will host its first School House Jam featuring an 11 a.m. tip-off on Wednesday, January 24 at the Austin Convention Center vs. the Colorado 14ers. Central Texas school children and downtown business professionals will enjoy a mid-day break full of fun, educational and team-building opportunities. All youth attending will receive a free book courtesy of Harcout Achieve and Toros mascot Da Bull will distribute a special school house jam booklet with fun basketball facts that include learning exercises in math, reading and geography disciplines.

The Colorado 14ers are led by PJ Tucker, former Texas Longhorn and rookie forward for the Toronto Raptors. The Raptors drafted Tucker in the second round of the 2006 NBA Draft. The 14ers (15-7) are in second place in the D-League's Western Division.

"The Toros are excited to offer this unique opportunity to school children and business professionals alike, and we expect this game to become an annual event" said Toros president Mike Berry.
