SCHOOL HOUSE JAM: The Austin Toros are hosting "School House Jam" Wednesday when the Colorado 14ers visit the Austin Convention Center for an 11 a.m. tip off. In addition to enjoying the game, central Texas school children will receive a book courtesy of Harcout Achieve and Toros mascot Da Bull will distribute a special "School House Jam" booklet with basketball fun facts that include learning exercises in math, reading and geography.

SECOND HELPING OF QUE: Dakota forward Quemont Greer has been named the D-LEAGUE.com Performer of the Week for the second consecutive time. In four games last week he averaged 27.0 points and 7.5 rebounds. Only Greer and Tulsa's Will Conroy have earned back-to-back performers of the week honors this season.
TAKING CARE OF THE ROCK: The Anaheim Arsenal averages just 16.5 turnovers per game, best in the league.
CREATING MISTAKES: The Sioux Falls Skyforce leads the league by forcing 21.0 turnovers per game.
AMIR RETURNS TO DETROIT: The Detroit Pistons have recalled Amir Johnson from the Sioux Falls Skyforce. Johnson appeared in six games with the Skyforce, averaging 17.8 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.3 blocks, 1.7 assists and 29.8 minutes. The Skyforce (15-9) were 5-1 with Johnson in the lineup.
THEY SAID IT: "The whole thing is worthwhile. You see 120 players under one roof. You get to see the assignment players because they never play on their own NBA teams. And there are guys who may be good for your summer league teams down the road." ... Boston Celtics General Manager Chris Wallace told the Boston Globe in reference to the 2007 D-League Showcase.
ALL-STAR: Balloting for the D-League All-Star Game continues through Feb. 1 at D-LEAGUE.com. The inaugural D-League All-Star Game will be played on Feb. 17 on Center Court at NBA All-Star Jam Session at the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino. Tip off is scheduled for 2 p.m. PT and the game will air live on NBA TV.
COACHING THE STARS: The coaches with the best record in each division on Feb. 1 will handle coaching duties for the D-League All-Star Game.
SOUTHWEST TRADE WINDS: Tulsa and Austin swapped D-League veterans on Monday, with the Toros sending forward Scott Merritt to Tulsa for guard Cheyne Gadson. This is the second trade in the D-League this season, but just the seventh in league history.
