Jay McKee Named Hamilton Hammers Head Coach
May 31, 2026 - The New York Islanders announced today that Jay McKee has been named Head Coach of the Hamilton Hammers, the Islanders new American Hockey League affiliate.
McKee, 48, takes over as the first Head Coach in Hamilton's history. He has spent the past three years as Head Coach of the Brantford Bulldogs of the Ontario Hockey League. April 23, 2026 - Hershey, PA - The Bridgeport Islanders were down in a best of three series heading into game two inside the Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania on Thursday night. It was a must-win game for the team to push the series to a final game three on Saturday in Bridgeport.
