February 4, 2026 - The Soo Greyhounds Hockey Club, through Hound Power Inc., is extremely excited to launch details of the 2nd Annual 'Greyhounds Guardians' Game in support of Special Olympics Sault Ste. Marie.
This year's event will take place on Sunday, March 1st - 2:07 PM at the GFL Memorial Gardens.
The action-packed, family-focused event is a great way for the entire community to kick off the month of March while supporting local athletes and a local cause.

January 8, 2026 - SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - Soo Greyhounds General Manager Kyle Raftis today announced a trade that reduces the team's active goaltending roster to two.
In the deal the Hounds receive Erie's 7th Round Selection from the Otters in exchange for G Noah Tegelaar.

Soo Greyhounds General Manager, Kyle Raftis, announced Wednesday morning the acquisition of Los Angeles Kings prospect and Team Canada three-time medalist, Carter George, from the Owen Sound Attack.
In exchange the Hounds transferred seven draft picks to the Attack.

December 8, 2025 - SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - Soo Greyhounds General Manager Kyle Raftis announced this evening the acquisition of an NHL prospect as part of a deal with their West Division rivals from Sarnia.
As part of the transaction, the Greyhounds have acquired D Lukas Fischer from the Sting in exchange for Hunter Solomon along with five draft picks - 2nd Round 2026 (KGN), 4th 2027 (PBO), 4th 2028 (SOO), 6th 2028 (OSH) and 3rd 2029 (SOO).
