Thunder Acquires Defenseman Palocsik from Toledo

March 9, 2026 - WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks, AHL's San Jose Barracuda and powered by Toyota, announced today that the Thunder have acquired defenseman Tanner Palocsik (PAL-uh-sick) from the Toledo Walleye for future considerations. Palocsik, 26, is in his second full year as a pro. A native of Aliquippa, Pennsylvania, the 5-foot-11, 190-pound blueliner began the season overseas with Cergy-Pontoise (France). Davis Returns to Wichita; Carriere Reassigned to AHL San Jose

March 9, 2026 - WICHITA, Kan. - The Wichita Thunder, ECHL affiliate of the NHL's San Jose Sharks, AHL's San Jose Barracuda and powered by Toyota, announced today two separate transactions involving the team's goaltending position. Gabriel Carriere has been reassigned to the Barracuda. Matt Davis has been loaned to the Thunder. Davis, 24, was recalled to AHL San Jose on February 27. Wichita Drops Sunday Matinee in Toledo

March 8, 2026 - TOLEDO, OH - Wichita closed a four-in-five on Sunday afternoon, losing to Toledo, 5-1, at Huntington Center. Nolan Kneen tallied his second goal of the season, which was the only offense for the Thunder. Gabriel Carriere stopped 53 shots in the losing effort. Ryland Mosley opened the scoring just 5:37 into the contest. The Walleye created a turnover near their own blue line.
