December 19, 2025 - (Vancouver) - The BC Lions announced today that the team has agreed to terms with American linebacker Darnell Sankey on a one-year contract.
Sankey (6'0, 242 lbs)- moves to the west coast after three seasons with the Montreal Alouettes, where he registered 239 defensive tackles, four sacks, a pair of interceptions and five forced fumbles in 41 regular season games. Sankey won a Grey Cup in his first season with the Als and was an East Division All-CFL selection in 2024 and 2025.

"Mike was a big part of the gelling of our offensive line this past season," said general manager Ryan Rigmaiden.

December 18, 2025 - WINNIPEG, MB. - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce that all-star receiver Nic Demski has signed a two-year contract extension through the 2027 Canadian Football League season. Demski had been scheduled to become a free agent in February.
Demski (5-11, 212; University of Manitoba; born December 14, 1993, in Winnipeg, MB) completed his third consecutive 1,000-yard receiving season in 2025, finishing with 67 receptions for 1,001 yards and seven touchdowns.

December 18, 2025 - Montreal - The Montreal Alouettes announced on Thursday that the team has signed starting centre Justin Lawrence to a two-year contract extension that will keep him with the Als through the 2028 season. Lawrence was already under contract for the 2026 season.
Lawrence (6'2", 310 lbs.) started 14 games with the team in 2025. The 31-year-old from Edmonton, Alberta, was named All-CFL East Division for the second time in his career.
