Knights Make Roster Moves

LHP Sean Hagan, a product of St. John's University, was promoted to the Knights from High-A Winston-Salem today. Hagan posted a 1-1 record with two saves and a 4.22 ERA in 11 games (one start) this season. The 24-year-old was drafted by the White Sox in the 31st round of the 2013 draft.

RHP Jairo Asencio went 0-2 with nine saves and a 5.03 ERA in 17 games for the Knights this season before being released today. Asencio was signed as a free agent by the Chicago White Sox on November 21, 2014

C Kevan Smith, who was activated off the DL today, was originally placed on Charlotte's DL back on May 17. Smith is hitting .273 (24-for-88) with two home runs and 12 RBIs in 29 games. C Jeremy Dowdy appeared in eight games for the Knights this season and hit .208 (5-for-24) with three RBIs.

RHP Chris Beck made his major league debut for the Chicago White Sox on May 28 and was optioned back to Charlotte after the game. Both Beck and RHP Scott Carroll, who was also optioned on May 28, are not on Charlotte's active roster as of this time.
