Madson to Make Rehab Appearance with 66ers

San Bernardino, CA - The Inland Empire 66ers, proud affiliate of the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim, are the scheduled destination for Angels' right-handed pitcher Ryan Madson who according to reports is slated to begin his rehab assignment Monday night at San Manuel Stadium.

MLB reported on Saturday that Madson will make a short rehab stint with the 66ers next week before joining the Angels' bullpen. As reported by MLB, Angels Manager Mike Sciocia is confident in the 32-year-olds recovery. It is reported that the right-hander will make two outings with the 66ers and will return to the MLB in time for the Angels homestand against the White Sox next weekend.

Madson, a Long Beach, CA native, has nine years of professional experience which includes accolades such as 2004 Phillies Pitcher of the Year, as well as a World Series Championship with the Philadelphia Phillies in 2008.

He has recorded a career record of 47-30, complete with 547 strikeouts and 52 saves.

The 66ers will finish their four game series against the Visalia Rawhide during Madson's scheduled debut on Monday night. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:05PM at San Manuel Stadium night and can be heard on AM 1050 KCAA.
