March 7, 2013 - Elmira jumped out to the 1-0 first period lead in Trenton. But two goals by Blake Kessel helped push Trenton out in front for good, eventually winning 4-2, breaking a modest two-game home - and three-game overall - losing streak to the Jackals.

Hot When It Counts

Jacob Cepis and Blake Kessel have picked up their offensive games down the stretch. Cepis, the Titans' leading scorer, has recorded points in 14 of his last 19 games (6 G, 20A). Kessel, a defenseman, has points in eight of his last 10 games (3G, 11A), moving up to fourth in scoring among active Titans (30 points).

From the desk of Elmira PBP man Ray Schmitt: After getting points in 10 of their last 13 (7-3-3), the Jackals' magic number to reach the playoffs for the sixth consecutive season (each year they have been in the ECHL) is 13. If results go in their favor, they could clinch a spot as early as March 22.
