Tulsa Acquires Anthony Vereen from Texas

TULSA, Okla., November 5, 2012 - The Tulsa 66ers acquired forward Anthony Vereen from the Texas Legends in exchange for guard Solomon Bozeman, the team announced Monday.

Vereen (6-6, 244) averaged 9.7 points and 4.2 rebounds in 50 games with the Legends last season. The Houston, Texas native scored in the double digits in 24 games in 2011-12. Vereen attended the University of Texas-Arlington, where he averaged 17.7 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.2 assists during his senior season.

The 66ers drafted Bozeman (6-1, 175) in the sixth round of Friday night's NBA D-League Draft with the 86th overall pick.

Tulsa, who begins training camp on Saturday, opens the season against Texas on Nov. 23 at the SpiritBank Event Center.
