----- Tonight, the SeaWolves take on the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates) in the middle game of a three-game series at People's Natural Gas Field. Last night, the SeaWolves dropped the series opener to the Curve 3-2. The 'Wolves went just 2-for-12 with RISP en route to the one-run loss. Erie is now 0-7 in the opening game of series on the road. It was only the club's third loss when holding their opponents to three runs or fewer...Lefty Kelvin De La Cruz makes his ninth appearance, seventh start and fourth appearance against Altoona. He is 1-1 with a no-decision in his three previous appearances against Altoona. De La Cruz picked up a win in his last start on May 13 against Altoona, snapping a three-game losing streak. In the game, he allowed two runs, one earned, on seven hits with two walks and six strikeouts in 6.1 innings of work...RHP Shairon Martis takes the mound for the Curve making his fifth appearance and second start. His last appearance came in relief on May 15 at Bowie where he tossed a scoreless innings. Martis faced Erie on May 11 in relief and allowed three runs on three hits in three innings of work. Martis began the season with Triple-A Indianapolis and appeared against Toledo in three of his four appearances. The righty had no decisions and a 7.56 ERA in Triple-A...The SeaWolves have one game remaining on the road trip on Sunday before heading home on Monday to begin their longest homestand of the season (eight games) with Reading and Akron coming to town.

----- The SeaWolves will host the SeaWolves Bowling Bash at Greengarden Lanes on Thursday, June 21. The bowling fundraiser will take place from 6 pm - 8:30 pm with proceeds benefiting United Way of Erie County. - The event will feature SeaWolves players, one at each bowling lane, interacting with event guests, signing autographs, and posing for pictures. The event will also include door prizes and a memorabilia silent auction. - Each participant will receive up to three games of bowling, shoe rental, a raffle ticket, and pizza, for a registration fee of $25.

Altoona is tied for ninth with a 4.01 team ERA. - Erie is third in the league with a .264 team batting average. Altoona ranks 10th with a .246 team average. - Niuman Romero is tied for second in the league with 50 hits. Romero is also the toughest hitter to strike out in the league, striking out just one every 13.23 plate appearances. - Reliever Ryan Robowski has allowed just one earned run this season and has tossed 10 consecutive scoreless innings.
