Kane County Cougars News Release

GENEVA, IL - The Kane County Cougars, in conjunction with the Kansas City Royals, have announced that pitcher Andrew Stueve has been sent to the Royals' extended spring training complex in Surprise, Arizona. The Cougars have received pitcher Robinson Yambati from extended spring training. Today's roster move maintains the Cougars' active roster at 25 players as the team opens a three-game series this evening against Peoria (a Chicago Cubs affiliate) at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark in Geneva. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. this evening.

Yambati (Non-drafted free agent, 2008) struggled last season at Burlington, going 0-5 in eight starts. The right-hander is hoping to return to his work of 2010, where he earned Surprise Royals Pitcher of the Year honors after going 8-2 with a 2.71 ERA in 14 games. Yambati was also named an Arizona League Postseason All-Star that season after leading the league in wins.
