Vancouver Recalls Oreskovich, Sends Archibald to Kalamazoo

The Vancouver Canucks have recalled right wing VICTOR ORESKOVICH from the Chicago Wolves. In addition, the Canucks have reassigned left wing DARREN ARCHIBALD from the Wolves to the ECHL's Kalamazoo K-Wings.

ORESKOVICH has recorded 4 assists and 5 points in 11 games with the Wolves this season. He dished out 2 helpers in three games last week in his return to Chicago's lineup after missing the previous 10 matchups.

The 25-year-old forward collected 3 assists and 8 penalty minutes in 16 National Hockey League games with Vancouver last year. He also skated in 19 Stanley Cup playoff matchups with the Canucks, collecting 12 penalty minutes. The Whitby, Ontario, native also accrued 12 points (4G, 8A) and 38 penalty minutes in 40 American Hockey League tilts with the Manitoba Moose last season.

ARCHIBALD has skated in 18 games with the Wolves during his professional debut this season, notching one goal and 6 penalty minutes.

The 21-year-old forward split last season between the Ontario Hockey League's Barrie Colts and Niagara IceDogs. He recorded 30 points (18G, 12A) in 24 matchups with Barrie and 36 points (23G, 13A) in 37 contests with Niagara. Overall, the Newmarket, Ontario, native amassed 82 goals, 82 assists and 164 points in 186 career OHL games spanning three seasons (2008-11).
