Angels Recall Bell and O'Sullivan, Kiely Returns to Salt Lake

SALT LAKE CITY (July 19, 2010) - The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim announced today that the club has recalled right-handed pitcher Trevor Bell and right-handed pitcher Sean O'Sullivan from Triple-A Salt Lake. In other movement, right-handed pitcher Tim Kiely has been promoted to Salt Lake from Double-A Arkansas.

Bell, 23, has appeared in six games (all starts) for the Bees in 2010, owning a 2-0 record with a 3.00 ERA and 19 strikeouts. He has also appeared in 14 games of relief for the Angels this season, owning a 1-1 record with a 6.38 ERA and 16 strikeouts. The North Hollywood, Calif. native was originally selected by the Angels in the first round of the 2005 draft.

O'Sullivan, 23, has appeared in 15 games (all starts) for the Bees in 2010, owning a 5-5 record with a 4.76 ERA and 58 strikeouts. He has also appeared in four games of relief for the Angels this season, owning a 1.29 ERA in seven innings pitched. The San Diego, Calif. native was originally selected by the Angels in the third round of the 2005 draft.

Kiely, 24, has appeared in 14 games (all starts) for the Travelers in 2010, owning a 4-6 record with a 4.63 ERA and 50 strikeouts. He has also appeared in four games (all starts) for the Bees this season, owning a 2-2 record. The Swampscott, Mass. native was originally selected by the Angels in the 27th round of the 2008 draft.
