FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Beloit Snappers scored six runs in the top of the 3rd on their way to a 10-1 win over the TinCaps, Saturday at Parkview Field. Dean Anna doubled three times.

The TinCaps went 1-for-12 with runners in scoring position and allowed eight runs with two outs.

Beloit jumped ahead in a sloppy top of the 1st as the TinCaps gave James Beresford a hustle double. He went to third on a passed ball and scored on a single by Angel Morales.

Fort Wayne tied it in the bottom of the 1st when Anna ripped the first of his three doubles. Two batters later, Jason Hagerty yanked a two-out RBI single to right to tie the game at 1-1.

In the top of the 3rd, the Snappers blew it open with a six-run uprising. A walk and a single put runners at the corners, but the next two batters were retired to leave RHP John Hussey an out away from escaping damage. But a walk loaded the bases, Anderson Hidalgo doubled down the left-field line, Josmil Perez rapped his third home run of the series, a three-run blast, and two batters later Daniel Santana doubled to plate Michael Gonzales, who had walked.

Beloit scored two more runs in the 5th, one on Santana's RBI triple and the other on a single by Beresford, making it 9-1.

The Snappers capped the scoring in the top of the 9th when Gonzales pounded a leadoff homer to right.

Hussey (4-2) absorbed the loss as Beloit RHP B.J. Hermsen (2-1) picked up the win, firing seven strong innings.

The TinCaps, who have lost three in a row, dropped to 28-29. Beloit upped its record to 28-28.

The TinCaps finish the three-game series against the Snappers (Class-A Minnesota Twins) Sunday at 3:05 p.m. Fort Wayne LHP Nick Greenwood (2-3) goes to the mound against Beloit RHP Jhon Garcia (0-1).
